Welcome to the web site of the Huntingfield Pony and Riding Club. Situated at Howden, just south of Hobart in Tasmania, Australia, Huntingfield Pony and Riding Club was founded in 1961. With very popular rallies held once a month, Huntingfield caters for young horse riders from the age of eight to twenty five. Placement in groups for lessons is usually based on age, experience of rider and horse and level of test achieved.

As part of its continuing commitment to "encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sports concerned with horses and riding" Huntingfield participates in many organised Pony Club events such as:

  • the Tasmanian State Dressage and Show Jumping Championships
  • the Southern PCAT Zone Games and State Games Championships
  • the Royal Hobart and the Huon and Brighton Shows
  • as well as Pre-Trials Events as a lead up to the State Trials held in March each year.
